During our two-hour online job shadowing experience, we gained a deeper understanding of the role of an online teacher. This opportunity allowed us to explore the various advantages and disadvantages of online education. For instance, while online teaching offers a more flexible schedule, it also presents challenges in engaging students during lessons.
Our mentor emphasised the importance of adaptability and creativity in teaching, especially when lessons are conducted online. We observed how effective communication and interactive strategies play a crucial role in maintaining student interest and fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere. Our mentor also shared valuable insights into the online education market and the future of education with emerging technologies like AI.
These insights will greatly benefit us as we pursue future careers in education, equipping us with the skills needed to navigate this dynamic field. This experience not only enhanced our understanding but also ignited our passion for creating impactful learning experiences.
