Our job shadowing experience with our mentor, Ms Tisa Ho, the executive director of the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society Ltd. located at Hong Kong Arts Centre was an unforgettable experience.
Throughout the day, staffers constantly sought for Ms Ho’s advice and help, including collaboration between the HKAF and another event in Shenzhen. We realised that planning an arts event takes lots of meticulous planning and discussion. The highlight of the day is Ms Ho brought us to an arts exhibition to show support for her friend’s artworks. Besides paperwork, Ms Ho’s job involves attending events frequently to curate better events, which we thought was a special part of her job.
Ms Ho’s conversation with us was very inspiring and thought provoking. Her advice that “the right path will be revealed when we follow our hearts” stood out to us. It is surely something the both of us will definitely put in mind.
