From 28th to 30th August 2018, we were lucky to have had the job shadowing opportunity at Ibis Hotel in North Point.
Throughout these days, we were able to observe and learn from the hotel’s six main departments and we were given the chance to help the staff in the Housekeeping Department. We have found out that all of the staffers were professional and skillful on their tasks. Moreover, we were able to help at the Food and Beverages Department to help arrange bread baskets and organize dining tables.
After this remarkable experience, we found out that hospitality is all about people, about how to let customers feel contented and relaxed. Moreover, everyone in the hotel is important. Whether they front-line or management staff, all work like a whole family who help each other out to give the best experience to the customers. After this unforgettable experience, we have surely gained a better understanding about this field and it has definitely motivated me to consider it as a career in the future.
Lastly, I truly enjoyed myself and learned a lot about hotel management. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Thank you again for giving me the valuable learning experience!
